Minitap Raises $4.1M to Make Mobile Development 10x Faster with AI

We’re beyond excited to share some big news: we’ve raised $4.1 million in seed funding at Minitap! This means we can double down on our mission: making mobile development 10x faster with AI.

AI coding tools like Cursor and Claude have transformed web development—engineers ship features in 2 days that used to take 2 weeks. Those same AI tools are completely useless for mobile—they can write perfect code but can't see phones, can't test on devices, can't iterate when things break. Mobile features still take weeks while web features take days. The gap is 10x and widening. Vibe-coding is a web dev’s luxury, and a mobile dev’s dream.

A little about us: we’re Luc & Nico, and we’ve been building mobile apps together since we were 18. We spent two years building our first viral mobile app, FueGo, and honestly, we’re embarrassed by that timeline. Every mobile company needs to experiment faster, and the companies that run 10x more experiments will win their markets. That’s why we built minitap: to build the infrastructure that makes that kind of speed possible.

In just 40 days, we ranked #1 the AndroidWorld benchmark for mobile-use, outperforming Google DeepMind, ByteDance, Microsoft, and Alibaba. And then we open-sourced everything, and the community has already given us nearly 1,900 GitHub stars.
